Even after coming back to Evian for over 10 years, my jaw still drops every time I come here. The views of Lake Geneva are so incredibly beautiful and I find myself getting lost in the scenery even during the tournament. Golf takes us to many incredible places, but Evian might be one of the most scenic places we go to all year. I arrived here in France on Sunday morning and have been working hard to prepare for the last major of the year. To work on getting over my jet lag, I went through a pretty strenuous workout when I arrived then went out and did a light practice afterwards.
Thankfully I was able to sleep through the night somewhat and proceeded to play 18 holes on Monday. Since my coach, David Leadbetter, arrived midday, we were able to have a nice range session afterwards. Since Sunday and Monday were both long days, I took it slightly easy today, only playing 12 holes. Putting will be the deciding factor this week, so I have been spending the majority of my time on the practice green, working on my speed and short putts.
As I find myself getting lost in the scenery here, here’s my Evian inspired playlist for the week:
