Unofficial Airport Rant -DK

Hi everyone!Happy Fall! It’s that time of the year when the pumpkin spice lattes are back and the holiday cheers are around the corner! 🎃

Fall for us LPGA golfers means it’s time for the “Asia Swing.” We have an eight-week stretch of tournaments including six weeks in Asia, one week in Mexico and finishing off the year in Florida hosting the CME Tour Championship.

I am currently sitting in the Delta Lounge at Seattle Tacoma Airport waiting to board my flight to Beijing, China. My layover is about SEVEN hours… yea it sucks but sometimes we just have to make the best of the situation right? I genuinely wish all airports would have nap pods available because I’d definitely be occupying one right now. I read somewhere there are about 16 airports around the world that provide them however, Seattle isn’t one of them 😴. I’ll get over it soon.

Since I’m destined to sit around for about 20hrs, I was going up and down the staircase to the lounge for some leg exercise and let me tell you, it attracted some odd looks. I think my next task is to come up with, how to do a subtle work out at the airport.

Also if you guys have any book recommendations please write in the comment box below for me! I’m a fan of all different types of books but not a fan of horror/thriller. Too stressful you know? As of right now I am rereading One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I also have the book S*** My Dad Says to gift a friend because I think this is one of the funniest books I have ever read. If you get a chance please read it.

I just purchased albums on iTunes including; Casting Crowns: The Very Next Thing, Shawn Mendes: Illuminate, Passenger: Young as the Morning Old as the Sea, and Michael Bublé: Nobody but Me. If you also have any music recommendations please share with me as well! 🎶

And guess what… This trip I packed an extra suitcase of just food. Yes, the suitcase is only filled with food. Throughout next week I’ll share what I packed to eat so tune in! Now I have to go get myself some Starbucks to keep me sane… Yes the girly drink of, “Hi! Can I get a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte made with soy with one less shot and an extra pump?!”

  1. Hi Danielle, yikes! Sitting in a comfortable couches watching the Tour championship….anyway, I like your idea of a subtle airport workout . I can already envision throngs of people doing it at airports around the world.

Let me know if you want some ideas on the workout …

  2. When I have time to kill I go on you tube and watch Paul Simon live videos. Maybe not your kind of music, but a lot of good stuff. Much luck on upcoming tournaments

  3. Good luck at your next few tourney’s !!! I can imagine the pain of waiting around all the airports, I agree the ones with sleeping pods or at least the lounge with showers. Wish they all had work out gyms or pools to refreshed with a swim.

A great time killer has been audio books by Michael Connelly the Harry Bosch mystery detective series! Love to listen when going 9plus hours some where or laying on the beach!

  4. Danielle, I recommend Ballad of The Whiskey Robber. It’s a true story about a series of bank robberies. The ringleader was a backup goalie for the Hungarian Hockey team. The police work was so unbelievably inept! It’s a great read and well-written.

  5. Danielle, look up a NZ musician by the name of Anna Coddington. If you like her, I can suggest some other NZ musicians to check out. Her style is pop/light rock. You can’t get her stuff (in CD form) in North America.

  6. DK – Highly recommend any book by Daniel Silva from his Gabriel Allon series. The stories and characters are current, intriguing, and beautifully intertwined. They are absolute page turners. Safe travels!

  7. My partner and I stumbled over here coming from a different web address and thought I may as well check things out. I like what I see so now i’m following you. Look forward to looking into your web page repeatedly.
